Perfecting the art of great coffee

The Scandinavians know a thing or two about a good cup of coffee. The art of coffee drinking, and the rituals accompanying it, is one of their passions. The Nordic countries are one the world’s biggest consumers of the beverage, with Scandinavians typically enjoying the drink throughout the day.

The concept of ‘Fika’ (the Swedish term ‘to have coffee’) is a custom that’s embraced as part of daily Scandinavian life. Often a social gathering enjoyed with friends, family or colleagues, Fika simply means taking time out for a relaxing break, with delicious, piping hot coffee and pastries, buns and pies, or a small meal.

At Nordic Bakery, we share this reverence for one of life’s simple pleasures – so whether your preference is rich, dark and intense, or light, comforting and creamy, we’ve a choice of filter coffee, latte, cappuccino or espresso, all created from our own Nordic Bakery house blends.

These Nordic Bakery blends are specially created for the Scandinavian palate. Subtle acidic notes and a medium to light flavour come from a very slow roasting process, and define Nordic tastes, giving our coffee a genuinely Scandinavian flavour. Our Nordic Bakery house blends (filter, espresso and decaffeinated) are produced using 100 per cent natural coffee, from premium Arabica and Robusta beans, and are available to enjoy at our cafes, as take-away drinks, or in recyclable take-home tins.
